Monday, Aug. 17, is fast approaching and pretty soon students, old and new, will be walking through the doors of 85 Park Place for the first time. We were lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the building, and are so excited for everyone else to get here.
On June 22, Georgia State University College of Law moved into its new building, at 85 Park Place, on the corner of John Wesley Dobbs Avenue in downtown Atlanta. Time has flown by rather quickly when it comes to Georgia State Law’s new building at 85 Park Place. It seems like it was just yesterday, when I first laid eyes on a blueprint of the structure. My office was marked by a little rectangle outlined in pencil.
You know we are getting close to moving into the new building when the trees and shrubs go in. McCarthy Building Co. workers started planting trees around the perimeter of the new building late last week.
Everyone was excited to see the developments at 85 Park Place today. This location will serve as the new home for Georgia State Law. Something is missing from the Georgia State University College of Law new building site. McCarthy Building Companies Inc. decommissioned the construction trailers in March and moved into the ground floor of the new building, which now has electricity.
